The client will be invoiced one month prior to the course or at any other time as agreed with the client.

If booking several months in advance the invoice and any additional sums payable shall be paid by the client (without any set off or any other deductions) within 28 days of the date of the invoice. However, bookings made within 28 days or less prior to the session will require immediate payment.

If payment of the invoice is not made on the due date, Diana Thorne incorporates the right to claim interest on the amounts unpaid.

Refunds - Cancellation by candidate At least 2 weeks’ notice (14 days) 100% refund. At least 1 Weeks’ notice (7 days) 80% refund. Less than 24 hours’ notice-No Refund. Cancellation by Provider. Candidates will be given a choice between transferring fees to the next available event or receiving a full refund

Terms of Sale- As this course involves a considerable portion of practical activities, it may be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather conditions, inappropriate water levels or due to covid – 19 circumstances.

Refunds will only include fees paid for the event to the provider, compensation will not be paid for incidental costs or expenses, and we recommend candidates use refundable vendors for accommodation, travel etc.

For Educational, Safety and financial reasons some of our courses must reach minimum numbers to run.

Insurance against personal injury, accident or loss whilst undertaking the course is the responsibility of the client. Diana Thorne will accept no liability for such injury, accident, damage or loss excepting liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence attributable to and fault of the operators.

Any damage to the buildings, grounds and equipment caused willfully or accidentally is the financial responsibility of the client.

All participants are required to wear buoyancy aids and helmets at all times when instructed.

All participants are expected to be in good health and confident in water, or to advise Diana Thorne otherwise.

Individuals must comply with the safety regulations and instructions from the Instructors.

Diana Thorne shall provide the agreed tuition to the client subject to the booking conditions and that any changes or additions to the specified tuition or these conditions must be agreed in writing between the supplier and the client.

The specified tuition shall be in accordance with lead bodies published literature relating to that tuition, subject to these conditions.

Diana Thorne may correct any errors or omissions in any brochure, promotional literature, quotation or any other document relating to the provision of the tuition without any liability to the client.

Changes to the specified tuition may be made at any time which are necessary to comply with any applicable safety or other statutory requirements, or which do not materially affect the nature or quality of the tuition.

Training may have to be cancelled due to matters beyond Diana Thorne’s control e.g. winds too strong, water levels too high, not suitable conditions for the specified remit, instructors ill, etc. In this case Diana Thorne will endeavor to rearrange to another date at the client’s cost.

Animals should not be present at the event, this includes animals brought to the event by course staff, learners and mock students. An exception applies to Guide Dogs and Assistance dogs.

Any Personal Protective Equipment (helmets/ PFDs etc.) provided to the participant is required to be fit for purpose. This will be confirmed by the course provider prior to activity taking place by a visual and tactile pre-use inspection. Participation can be refused on the basis of inadequate PPE.

These conditions constitute the entire agreement and override any verbal discussions or indeed the client’s terms and conditions.

The client is aware that paddleboarding and other outdoor or indoor activities are ‘assumed risk water contact sports’ that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks, and be responsible for their own action and involvement.
