Beginner's Paddleboard Lesson

This session begins with a land-based introduction, covering the paddleboarding equipment, fundamental paddle techniques, and a comprehensive safety briefing.

We will then move onto the water for a structured yet enjoyable practical lesson, where you will learn and practice:

  • Basic forward paddling for efficient movement

  • Turning the board for better control

  • Stopping the board safely

  • Basic rescue skills to enhance confidence on the water

 

To reinforce these skills, we will apply our learning on a short journey, allowing you to experience real-time paddling in a natural setting. There will also be opportunities to capture photos along the way if desired.

The session will conclude with a recap of key skills, followed by an open Q&A, ensuring all participants leave feeling confident and inspired to continue their paddleboarding journey.

Intermediate Paddleboarding Lesson

This session begins with a land-based introduction, covering paddleboarding equipment and a safety briefing. We will also take a few moments for introductions, allowing me to understand your previous experience and personal goals for this intermediate session.

Once on the water, we will start with a warm-up paddle, during which I will observe each participant's paddle technique. You will receive personalised technical tips to refine your forward paddle stroke for greater efficiency, as well as guidance on effective turning techniques and other key skills. Throughout the session, you will engage in skill-building activities designed to encourage self-discovery and improvement.

To reinforce these techniques, we will embark on a short journey, allowing you to apply your improved skills in a real-time setting. There will also be opportunities to capture photos if desired.

The session will conclude with a recap of key takeaways, followed by a Q&A session, ensuring that all participants leave feeling confident, accomplish v and equipped with enhanced paddleboar skills.

1-2-1 Private Lesson

90 minutes

£85.00 per person

A 1-2-1 private lesson offers personalised coaching tailored to your specific needs and goals. These sessions can be scheduled at a time and location that suits you, with a standard lesson length of 90 minutes. However, longer sessions or a series of lessons can be arranged to suit your preferences.

Whether you're a complete beginner looking for a more comfortable, one-on-one learning environment or an improver/intermediate paddler seeking to refine your skills, this private lesson provides the perfect opportunity to learn at your own pace. The session will be tailored to focus on your individual needs, allowing for targeted feedback and progression.

We can explore specific skills, use various challenges to enhance your learning experience, and even incorporate self-guided learning techniques, including video analysis to track and improve your progress.

Private lessons are available for children aged 8 and above, though under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Public Group Lesson

90 minutes

£45.00 per person

These lessons are available at Beginner, Improver, or Intermediate level, with a maximum of 6 participants per session to ensure personalised instruction.

Children aged 8 and above are welcome; however, any participant under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Advance booking is required for all group lessons.

Private Group Lesson

90 minutes

£50.00 per person

Private group sessions offer the same structured experience as public group lessons but are exclusively for your own group and need to be booked in advance. Whether you're a group of friends, a club, a hen or stag party, or a family, these sessions provide a unique and enjoyable way to spend quality time together while trying something new and creating lasting memories.

Sessions can also be arranged on a bespoke basis, tailored to your group's preferences and requirements.

Maximum of 6 participants and children's under 18 to be accompanied by an adult and minimum age of 8

Pool Group Lesson

80 minutes

£45.00 per person

This 80-minute session begins with buoyancy aid and safety helmet fitting and a poolside briefing on paddle technique and proper kit usage, before entering the pool. These offer the perfect opportunity for those looking to learn and refine their skills in a controlled, warm, and safe environment.

The spacious pool provides ample room for learning, practicing, and even honing essential rescue skills. Whether you're preparing for summer on the open water or prefer a calmer environment for your training, these sessions cater to all skill levels. It's an ideal option during the winter months to stay active and ready, and even in summer, it offers a refreshing and enjoyable alternative to river-based lessons.

Plus, in a pool, falling in is part of the fun!

Technical 60 Sessions 

60 minutes

£55.00 per person

Rescue Training

60 minutes

£50.00 per person

advanced booking required.

Designed for paddlers who want to focus on a specific stroke or skill in a structured group setting, these one-hour sessions provide targeted coaching without the need for a private lesson. Each session includes observation, individualized coaching points, and self-discovery exercises to refine technique and build confidence.

Session Options:

  • Effective Forward Paddle Stroke - Improve technique, power, and cadence for a more efficient stroke.

  • Effective Turning - Develop precise and controlled turns for better maneuverability.

  • Rescue Skills - Practice self-rescues, rescues in pairs, and towing techniques for increased safety and confidence on the water.

 

These sessions must be booked in advance and are limited to a maximum of six participants.

Boards, leashes, and buoyancy aids can be provided, though paddlers are encouraged to use their own equipment to enhance familiarity and skill development on their own board.
